About the Position
The school is seeking a qualified and adaptable HASS Teacher to teach across the secondary years. This full-time, ongoing role is ideal for a teacher with experience in any combination of History, Geography, Business or Civics & Citizenship. The ability to build strong classroom relationships and deliver curriculum in a structured and supportive manner is essential. Boarding school context and regional living experience are valued but not required.

Skills and Responsibilities

  • Curriculum Delivery – Teach HASS subjects in alignment with the Australian Curriculum

  • Student Engagement – Encourage critical thinking, curiosity, and respectful dialogue

  • Wellbeing Support – Contribute to a holistic and inclusive school culture

  • Assessment & Reporting – Use assessment to support growth and provide feedback

  • Team Collaboration – Work closely with the HASS faculty and broader school staff

Requirements

  • Registration: Candidates must hold or be eligible to obtain QCT Teacher Registration

  • Work Rights: Full working rights in Australia are essential for this role

  • Safeguarding: Applicants must provide two current referees and complete HARKE’s onboarding process to meet safeguarding requirements
