About the Role
This full-time, fixed-term leave replacement position commences in Term 3, 2026 and continues through to the end of the 2026 school year only. The role involves teaching Geography across Years 7-10, with no VCE teaching requirements.
The successful educator will join a well-supported Humanities faculty under the guidance of an experienced and collaborative Head of Department. This opportunity would suit a teacher seeking a supportive environment with strong curriculum structures, excellent resources, and engaged students.
Skills and Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging Geography lessons across Years 7-10
- Plan, assess, and implement curriculum aligned with Victorian curriculum standards
- Facilitate inquiry-based and fieldwork-focused learning experiences
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
- Collaborate positively within the Humanities faculty and broader school community
Requirements
- Current or eligibility for Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration
- Experience teaching Secondary Humanities or Geography
- Full Australian working rights
- Ability to provide two professional referees
- Completion of HARKE safeguarding and compliance onboarding requirements
