About the Position

An opportunity has become available for a French Teacher to join the school from Term 3, 2026. This full-time position is a leave replacement through to the end of the year, with the potential to become ongoing for the right candidate.

The successful teacher will deliver French across Years 7-10 within a well-established Languages program. The role offers the opportunity to inspire students' appreciation of French language and culture while contributing to a collaborative and high-performing faculty.

This position would suit an educator who is passionate about language learning, values strong student relationships, and enjoys working within a supportive and academically focused school environment.

Skills and Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging French lessons across Years 7-10
  • Foster student confidence in speaking, listening, reading, and writing in French
  • Maintain strong safeguarding practices and support student wellbeing
  • Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues
  • Collaborate with Languages faculty members on curriculum planning and assessment
  • Contribute positively to the broader life of the school community

Requirements

  • Current VIT registration or eligibility to obtain registration
  • Experience teaching secondary French
  • Full Australian working rights
  • Commitment to student wellbeing and safeguarding
  • Ability to provide two referees and complete HARKE safeguarding onboarding
