Salary Range: $85,000-$125,000 + super

About the Role

This ongoing position offers the opportunity to teach French across Years 7-10, with the ability to teach VCE French highly regarded. The role is available at 0.8 FTE, with flexibility to increase to a full-time load for the right candidate. Commencing in Term 3, 2026 or by negotiation, the successful teacher will join a collaborative languages faculty focused on delivering engaging and interactive learning experiences that build student confidence, curiosity, and language proficiency. The role also provides opportunities to contribute to the broader life of the school through co-curricular involvement and pastoral support.

Skills and Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging French lessons across Years 7-10, with the ability to teach VCE French advantageous
  • Create interactive and inclusive learning experiences aligned with the Victorian Curriculum and VCE requirements
  • Monitor, assess, and provide meaningful feedback to support student progress and achievement
  • Foster positive student wellbeing and respectful classroom environments through effective pastoral care practices
  • Contribute collaboratively to faculty planning, co-curricular activities, and the wider school community

Requirements

  • Registration with or eligibility for Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT)
  • Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications preferred
  • Current Mandatory Reporting / Child Safety training
  • Full Australian work rights
  • Ability to provide two professional referees
  • Completion of HARKE onboarding requirements in line with safeguarding expectations
