About the Position

The school is seeking two French Teachers to join the Languages faculty, with one position commencing as soon as possible and the second from Term 1, 2026. Opportunities are available across both full-time and part-time loads. The role includes teaching French from junior years through to VCE, with at least one VCE French class included. French is compulsory to Year 9, with additional opportunities to contribute to a French immersion elective program. The successful candidates will be confident delivering high-level language instruction and engaging students through cultural experiences, including practical elements such as cooking and exchange programs.

Skills and Responsibilities

• Deliver French curriculum across Years 7–12, including VCE, aligned with the Victorian Curriculum
• Uphold safeguarding practices and maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment
• Communicate effectively with students, families and colleagues regarding progress and engagement
• Collaborate with the Languages faculty to strengthen program delivery and student outcomes
• Contribute to co-curricular activities including exchange programs and cultural initiatives

Requirements

Registration: Candidates must hold or be eligible to obtain VIT registration.

Work Rights: Full working rights in Australia are essential, with visa sponsorship available for suitable candidates.

Safeguarding: Applicants must provide two current referees and complete HARKE’s onboarding process to meet safeguarding requirements.
