About the Role

This part-time fixed-term position involves teaching French across Years 7-9 during Terms 3 and 4, 2026. The load is 0.4 FTE, with flexibility to increase to 0.6 FTE for the right candidate. In addition to classroom teaching responsibilities, the successful teacher may also support the VCE French program through lesson assistance and collaborative planning within the languages faculty. This role would suit an educator who enjoys working within a collegial and student-centred environment focused on engaging and interactive language learning.

Skills and Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and curriculum-aligned French lessons across Years 7-9
  • Support student language development through interactive and inclusive teaching practices
  • Assist with planning and supporting VCE French learning programs where required
  • Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to support achievement
  • Contribute positively to faculty collaboration, student wellbeing, and the broader school community

Requirements

  • Registration with or eligibility for Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT)
  • Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications preferred
  • Current Mandatory Reporting / Child Safety training
  • Full Australian work rights
  • Ability to provide two professional referees
  • Completion of HARKE onboarding requirements in line with safeguarding expectations
