About the Role

The school is seeking a Food Technology Teacher for a full-time, ongoing position.

The preferred commencement is Term 1, 2027; however, the school can accommodate a Term 4, 2026 start for a suitable teacher who is available earlier.

The successful teacher will deliver engaging and practical Food Technology programs while creating a safe, well-managed learning environment for students.

Skills and Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned Food Technology lessons.

• Provide practical, hands-on learning experiences that develop students’ knowledge and skills.

• Maintain safe and well-organised practical learning environments.

• Assess student progress and provide meaningful feedback to support learning.

• Maintain high standards of student safeguarding, wellbeing and inclusive classroom practice.

• Collaborate with colleagues and contribute positively to the wider school community.

Requirements

• Current VIT registration or eligibility to obtain VIT

• Relevant secondary teaching qualifications

• Experience or qualifications in Food Technology

• Strong classroom management and practical teaching skills

• Willingness to respect and support the Islamic ethos and values of the school

• Female staff are required to wear a hijab while at the College

• Full Australian working rights

• Two professional referees and completion of HARKE’s safeguarding onboarding
