About the Position

This full-time, fixed-term role is ideal for a teacher who brings both technical know-how and a creative spark into the kitchen. You’ll be delivering engaging Food Technology lessons to students in Years 7-11, encouraging practical skills, nutritional awareness, and confidence in the classroom (and in life!). The role runs through to December 2025 and is an excellent opportunity to join a community that genuinely values your input and your recipes.

Skills and Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver practical, hands-on Food Technology lessons for Years 7–11

  • Create a safe, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment

  • Bring a creative and contemporary approach to food education, aligned with curriculum standards

  • Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to school life beyond the classroom

  • Inspire students to see the joy in cooking, creating, and learning

Requirements

  • Registration: Must hold or be eligible for VIT (Victorian Institute of Teaching) registration

  • Work Rights: Hold working rights in Australia - including Working Holiday Visa with 6 months minimum left on Visa

  • Safeguarding: Applicants must provide two current referees and complete HARKE’s onboarding process to meet safeguarding requirements
