About the Position

The college is seeking a passionate Food Technology Teacher to join the secondary team from the start of Term 1. This permanent, full-time role involves teaching Food Technology across Years 7–12, with opportunities to contribute to curriculum enhancement and practical program development.

The ideal educator will bring strong classroom management, a love for practical, skills-based learning, and a commitment to supporting students to achieve excellence in food studies.

Skills and Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging, hands-on Food Technology lessons across Years 7–12

  • Ensure safe operation of practical classes and uphold all duty of care expectations

  • Build strong relationships with students and encourage skill development and creativity

  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching programs and assessment practices

  • Maintain clear communication with families, support staff, and leadership

Requirements
  • Registration: Applicants must hold or be eligible for QCT registration

  • Experience: Experience teaching Food Technology across secondary year levels is preferred

  • Work Rights: Full Australian working rights required

  • Safeguarding: Applicants must provide two current referees and complete HARKE’s onboarding and safeguarding checks
