About the Role

The school is seeking a Female Physical Education Teacher for a full-time, ongoing position.

The successful teacher will deliver engaging PE programs that encourage student participation, physical development, teamwork and positive attitudes towards health and physical activity.

The preferred commencement is Term 1, 2027; however, the school can accommodate a Term 4, 2026 start for a suitable teacher who is available earlier.

Skills and Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned Physical Education programs.

• Provide practical learning experiences that develop students’ physical skills, teamwork and confidence.

• Encourage participation and positive attitudes towards physical activity and wellbeing.

• Maintain safe, organised and inclusive practical learning environments.

• Maintain high standards of student safeguarding and wellbeing.

• Collaborate with colleagues and contribute positively to the wider school community.

Requirements

• Current VIT registration or eligibility to obtain VIT

• Relevant teaching qualifications in Physical Education

• Strong practical teaching and classroom management skills

• Ability to build positive relationships and encourage student participation

• Willingness to respect and support the Islamic ethos and values of the school

• Female staff are required to wear a hijab while at the College

• Full Australian working rights

• Two professional referees and completion of HARKE’s safeguarding onboarding
