About the Position
This position involves teaching English and Humanities to students in Years 7 to 10. The successful candidate will design and deliver curriculum-aligned lessons that promote critical thinking, student engagement, and academic development. They will also contribute to the broader school community through collegial collaboration and a shared commitment to student wellbeing.
Skills and Responsibilities

Deliver engaging and curriculum-aligned lessons in English and Humanities for Years 7–10

Promote student safety and wellbeing in line with the school’s safeguarding practices

Build strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues through effective communication

Collaborate with staff to support whole-school programs and initiatives

Demonstrate leadership and initiative in classroom practice and professional growth
Requirements
- Registration: Candidates must hold or be eligible to obtain Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration
- Work Rights: Full working rights in Australia are essential for this role
- Safeguarding: Applicants must provide two current referees and complete HARKE’s onboarding process to meet safeguarding requirements
