About the Position

This full-time, ongoing position will commence at the start of Term 1, 2026. The successful candidate will teach English across Years 7–10, joining a collegial English faculty dedicated to inspiring a love of language and literature. Teachers at the school enjoy access to modern resources, structured mentoring, and the freedom to bring creativity into their classrooms.

Skills and Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated English lessons for Years 7–10

  • Encourage critical thinking, reading comprehension, and expressive writing

  • Foster a positive classroom environment that values effort and curiosity

  • Collaborate with colleagues to design curriculum and share best practice

  • Contribute to the school’s co-curricular and wellbeing programs

Requirements

  • Current or eligibility for VIT registration

  • Full Australian working rights

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

  • A genuine passion for teaching English and supporting student growth

  • Two professional referees and completion of HARKE’s safeguarding onboarding
