About the Position

This full-time contract position commences in July 2026 and continues through to December 2026. The successful candidate will teach English across secondary year levels, delivering engaging and curriculum-aligned learning experiences that support literacy development, critical thinking, and student achievement. This opportunity would suit a teacher seeking a well-supported school environment with strong leadership and a collaborative staff culture.

Skills and Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver engaging English lessons aligned with the Victorian Curriculum.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports student learning and wellbeing.
  • Monitor, assess, and report on student progress using a range of assessment strategies.
  • Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues to support student outcomes.
  • Contribute to faculty planning, curriculum development, and broader school initiatives.

Requirements

  • Registration: Candidates must hold or be eligible to obtain Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration.
  • Work Rights: Full working rights in Australia are essential for this role.
  • Safeguarding: Applicants must provide two current referees and complete HARKE’s onboarding process to meet safeguarding requirements.
