About the Position
This role involves teaching English across Years 7 to 11, including four English classes and one Literature elective. The position sits within a small and collaborative faculty of six staff, many working part-time, creating a supportive and team-oriented environment. The successful candidate will deliver structured and engaging lessons aligned with an explicit instruction approach, supporting strong academic outcomes and contributing to a high-performing department.

Skills and Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality English and Literature curriculum aligned with Victorian Curriculum and VCE pathways
  • Uphold safeguarding practices and support student wellbeing
  • Communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and parents
  • Collaborate within a small faculty to plan, assess, and refine teaching practice
  • Contribute to a structured and high-expectation learning environment

Requirements

  • Registration: Must hold or be eligible for VIT registration
  • Work Rights: Full working rights in Australia
  • Safeguarding: Provide two referees and complete compliance checks
