English Teacher

HARKE has partnered with a well-established Catholic secondary school in Melbourne’s north-east. This short-term 0.82 FTE position will run from 31 August to 18 September 2026 . The successful teacher will deliver Year 10 English, VCE English Units 1 & 2, and VCE English Language Units 1 & 2 . This role would suit an experienced English teacher who can step confidently into an established program and maintain continuity of learning across the three-week contract.

• Deliver engaging English and English Language lessons across Years 10–12.

• Follow existing curriculum, assessment and teaching programs.

• Maintain strong student wellbeing, safeguarding and classroom expectations.

• Communicate clearly with students, colleagues and relevant school staff.

• Work collaboratively with the English faculty to ensure continuity throughout the contract.

• Registration: Candidates must hold current VIT registration.

• Work Rights: Full Australian working rights are essential.

• Safeguarding: Applicants must provide two current referees and complete HARKE’s onboarding process to meet safeguarding requirements.
