About the School
HARKE has partnered with a regional secondary school in Western Victoria, located within a welcoming country community approximately 200km from Melbourne and 100km west of Ballarat. Surrounded by the Grampians and Pyrenees ranges, the area offers a relaxed lifestyle, strong community connections, and access to national parks, local wineries, and outdoor recreation. The school is recognised for its supportive culture, strong leadership team, and commitment to fostering respectful, resilient, and successful young people. Staff work collaboratively to maintain high expectations for learning, behaviour, and student wellbeing while supporting students from a wide range of rural communities.
About the Role
This full-time contract position involves teaching two Year 8 English classes and one Year 9 English class, with an additional Media Studies class that may be adjusted depending on the successful candidate. The school is seeking a confident and capable classroom practitioner with strong behaviour management skills, the ability to build authentic relationships with students, and a calm, consistent approach in the classroom.
