About the Position
This full-time, permanent position involves teaching English across Years 8 to 11, with the opportunity to teach VCE for the right candidate. The role suits an educator who thrives in a high-performance environment, values structure and clarity, and is focused on delivering strong academic outcomes through effective teaching and consistent feedback.
Skills and Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality English curriculum across Years 8 to 11, with capacity for VCE teaching
- Uphold strong safeguarding practices and maintain a safe, respectful learning environment
- Communicate clearly with students, parents, and colleagues regarding progress and outcomes
- Collaborate with faculty to ensure consistency in curriculum delivery and student achievement
- Demonstrate professionalism and leadership within the classroom, supporting a high-performance culture
Requirements
- Registration with VIT or eligibility to obtain
- Full working rights in Australia with permanent residency
- Proven experience teaching secondary English, with ability to contribute to senior levels
- Demonstrated stability and commitment in previous roles
- Ability to provide a statement of service, two referees, and complete HARKE’s onboarding process to meet safeguarding requirements
