About the Position

The school is seeking a dedicated English Teacher to commence in Term 4, 2025 (October). This is a permanent ongoing position, with a confirmed teaching load for Term 4, and flexibility for 2026 timetabling to align with the successful candidate’s strengths and preferences.

Teaching load (October – December 2025):

  • Year 8 English

  • Year 9 English

  • Homeroom

  • VM Literacy

  • VM PDS

From January 2026, the teaching allocation will be finalised during timetabling, allowing adjustment to suit the candidate’s areas of expertise.

Skills and Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and differentiated English lessons across Years 8 and 9

  • Support students in the VCE Vocational Major program (Literacy and PDS)

  • Contribute to homeroom responsibilities and pastoral care

  • Build strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues

  • Engage in collaborative planning and co-curricular programs

Requirements

  • Registration: Current VIT registration (or eligibility)

  • Work Rights: Full working rights in Australia

  • Safeguarding: Two current referees and completion of HARKE’s safeguarding process
