About the Position
The school is seeking a capable and engaging English teacher to teach across Years 8 and 9. This full-time position begins in Term 3, 2025. The ideal candidate will have strong curriculum knowledge, a passion for literacy and literature, and the ability to build rapport with adolescents. Experience in middle years teaching is highly valued.

Skills and Responsibilities

  • Curriculum – Deliver engaging and structured English lessons aligned with the Victorian Curriculum

  • Safeguarding – Maintain a safe and respectful classroom environment

  • Literacy Focus – Support students’ reading, writing, and analytical skills

  • Differentiation – Cater to diverse learning needs in Years 8–9

  • Team Collaboration – Work with colleagues on curriculum and student progress

Requirements

  • Registration: Candidates must hold or be eligible to obtain NT Teacher Registration

  • Work Rights: Full working rights in Australia are essential for this role

  • Safeguarding: Applicants must provide two current referees and complete HARKE’s onboarding process to meet safeguarding requirements
