About the Position
This ongoing position involves teaching English to students from Year 7 to Year 12. The successful candidate will plan and deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned lessons that inspire critical thinking, creativity, and a love for literature. They will play an active role in contributing to the school community, supporting student wellbeing, and working closely with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and enriching learning experience.


Skills and Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver curriculum-aligned English lessons for Years 7 to 12.

  • Uphold student safety and wellbeing in line with school and legislative safeguarding policies.

  • Foster strong relationships through clear and purposeful communication with students, families, and staff.

  • Collaborate within a dedicated English faculty to enhance teaching and learning outcomes.

  • Demonstrate leadership within the classroom and a commitment to the school’s vision and values.


Requirements

  • Registration: Candidates must hold or be eligible to obtain Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration.

  • Work Rights: Full working rights in Australia are essential for this role.

  • Safeguarding: Applicants must provide two current referees and complete HARKE’s onboarding process to meet safeguarding requirements.
