About the Role
This full-time contract position commences in Term 3, 2026 and continues through to the end of the school year, replacing a teacher who is relocating. The successful teacher will deliver a combination of English and Humanities classes, including VCE English Language, while also contributing to homeroom responsibilities and learning support programs. This opportunity would suit an educator with strong curriculum knowledge, excellent classroom management skills, and the ability to engage students across a range of year levels.
Skills and Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging English and Humanities lessons across Years 8-11, including VCE English Language
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment aligned with student wellbeing and safeguarding expectations
- Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues to support student learning outcomes
- Collaborate with teaching staff and leadership to contribute to curriculum planning and school initiatives
- Support students academically through clear instruction, differentiated learning, and strong classroom management practices
Requirements
- Registration with or eligibility for VIT registration
- Experience teaching VCE English Language
- Full Australian work rights
- Ability to provide two professional referees and complete HARKE safeguarding onboarding requirements
