About the Position
This role involves teaching English and Humanities within the secondary school in a full-time capacity commencing Term 3 2026. The contract is fixed until December 2026 with the possibility of becoming ongoing depending on the candidate. The successful teacher will deliver engaging lessons that develop students’ literacy, analytical thinking and communication skills while fostering curiosity and critical thinking across Humanities subjects.
Skills and Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging English and Humanities lessons aligned with the Victorian Curriculum
- Maintain strong safeguarding practices and support student wellbeing
- Communicate effectively with students, families and colleagues regarding learning progress
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum resources and share best practice
- Contribute positively to the wider school community and faculty initiatives
Requirements
Registration: Must hold or be eligible for VIT teacher registration
Work Rights: Full working rights in Australia
Safeguarding: Ability to provide referees and complete safeguarding requirements
