About the Role
A leading independent co-educational school in North Queensland is seeking a passionate and skilled English & Humanities Teacher (Years 7–12) to commence in Term 2 on a 12-month contract through to the end of Term 1, 2027.
This role offers the opportunity to teach across junior and senior secondary, delivering engaging and academically rigorous programs within a well-supported and collaborative faculty environment.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to high-quality teaching practice, differentiation, and fostering critical thinking, literacy and analytical skills across a diverse student cohort.

Ideal Candidate

Qualified Secondary teacher with experience teaching English and/or Humanities (Years 7–12)

Strong curriculum knowledge and ability to teach senior secondary subjects

Ability to differentiate learning to meet a range of academic abilities

Strong classroom management and relational teaching skills

Commitment to professional growth and collaboration

Queensland College of Teachers (QCT) registration, or eligibility to obtain it
