About the School

HARKE has partnered with a Catholic secondary school located in Rosebud on the Mornington Peninsula, approximately 22 minutes south-east of Mornington. The school’s dedicated junior campus supports students across Years 7-9 within a close-knit and community-focused environment, helping students build confidence and strong learning foundations before transitioning into senior schooling.

The campus is highly connected with local families across the Southern Peninsula and is recognised for its strong pastoral care, supportive leadership, and collaborative staff culture. Teachers are supported to deliver engaging learning experiences while contributing positively to student wellbeing and the broader school community.

As part of a multi-campus setting, there may be future opportunities available for educators open to working across campuses beyond the initial contract period, though this is not guaranteed.

About the Role

This full-time, fixed-term position is based at the Rosebud campus and involves teaching English across Years 7-9, alongside Year 9 Humanities with a History focus.

The successful educator will join a supportive junior secondary team focused on student engagement, relationship-building, and creating positive learning environments during the important middle years.

Skills and Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging English programs across Years 7-9
  • Teach Year 9 Humanities with a History focus
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
  • Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues
  • Collaborate with faculty staff to enhance teaching and learning programs
  • Contribute positively to the junior campus culture and wider school community

Requirements

  • Registration with or eligibility for Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT)
  • Full Australian work rights
  • Ability to provide two professional referees
  • Completion of HARKE onboarding requirements relating to safeguarding and compliance
