About the Position
This full-time, ongoing position commences in Term 3 and involves teaching English from Year 7 to 12, and HASS (History, Geography & Citizenship) to students from Year 7 to 10. The successful candidate will deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned lessons that develop students’ analytical, literacy, and critical thinking skills. Relocation support can be offered for suitable applicants.
Skills and Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging English and HASS lessons for students in Years 7 to 12
- Maintain a safe and supportive learning environment in line with the school’s safeguarding policies
- Communicate clearly and professionally with students, families, and colleagues
- Collaborate with faculty to contribute to cross-curricular and co-curricular learning opportunities
- Model and uphold the school’s Christian values within the classroom and broader school community
Requirements
- Registration: Candidates must hold or be eligible to obtain QCT registration
- Work Rights: Full working rights in Australia are essential for this role
- Safeguarding: Applicants must provide two current referees and complete HARKE’s onboarding process to meet safeguarding requirements
