Salary Range:$79,000–$118,000 plus POL 2 allowance ($6,326)

About the Position

This is a full-time position commencing in January 2026 and concluding in January 2028, aligned with the current POL cycle. The English Domain Leader will provide dynamic leadership in the planning, delivery, and evaluation of English across Years 7–12. Working collaboratively with colleagues, you’ll foster excellence in teaching and learning, mentor staff, and ensure students are engaged in a rigorous and inspiring English curriculum. The ability to teach English Language would be advantageous.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the English Domain to promote high-quality teaching and learning across all year levels

  • Support and mentor teachers to implement engaging, evidence-based practice

  • Oversee curriculum development, assessment, and moderation processes

  • Use data and research to drive continuous improvement in student outcomes

  • Foster a culture of professional collaboration, innovation, and reflective practice

  • Contribute to whole-school initiatives as part of the Learning and Teaching team


Requirements

  • Current or eligibility for VIT registration

  • Demonstrated success in leading curriculum or faculty teams

  • Proven experience teaching English across multiple year levels

  • Strong understanding of curriculum design and assessment practices

  • Full Australian working rights

  • Two professional referees and completion of HARKE’s safeguarding onboarding
