About the Position

A fixed-term position is available for the remainder of the year, with the opportunity to move into an ongoing role for an experienced English Teacher. The current teaching allocation includes English and Literature. 

The school is seeking a confident classroom practitioner who can engage boys in purposeful learning, maintain strong classroom routines, and contribute positively to faculty and pastoral initiatives. 


Skills and Responsibilities

  • Deliver curriculum-aligned English and Literature across secondary year levels

  • Uphold safeguarding standards and promote student wellbeing within a structured classroom environment

  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress with clarity and accuracy

  • Collaborate with faculty colleagues to strengthen curriculum planning and moderation practices

  • Contribute to pastoral care, co-curricular programs, and the broader Catholic school community


Requirements

  • Registration: Candidates must hold or be eligible to obtain Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration.

  • Work Rights: Full working rights in Australia are essential for this role.

  • Safeguarding: Applicants must provide two current referees and complete HARKE’s onboarding process to meet safeguarding requirements.
