About the Role

This full-time role, commencing Term 1 2026, focuses primarily on English from Years 7–12, with some teaching in Humanities. The school welcomes applicants with VCE English experience, though teachers confident in Years 7–10 are also encouraged to apply. The successful teacher will join a collaborative faculty committed to purposeful curriculum design, engaging classroom practice, and strong literacy development.


Skills and Responsibilities

  • Deliver curriculum-aligned English and Humanities programs that support student growth

  • Ensure student safety and wellbeing through consistent safeguarding practices

  • Maintain clear, professional communication with students, families, and colleagues

  • Work collaboratively within the faculty to strengthen teaching and learning

  • Contribute to broader school programs, events, and initiatives


Requirements

  • Registration with, or eligibility for, VIT

  • Full Australian work rights

  • Two referees and completion of HARKE’s safeguarding onboarding
