About the Position
The school is seeking an English and Humanities teacher to commence in Term 2, 2026 through to the end of the year. Class teaching time runs from 12pm to 5pm, with mornings dedicated to planning, preparation, assessment, and collaboration. This structure provides focused teaching time in the afternoon while allowing meaningful preparation and curriculum development earlier in the day.
Skills and Responsibilities
• Deliver engaging English and Humanities lessons aligned to the Victorian Curriculum
• Maintain strong safeguarding practices and uphold student wellbeing policies
• Communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and families
• Collaborate with faculty members on curriculum planning and assessment moderation
• Contribute positively to faculty initiatives and the broader school community
Requirements
• Current VIT registration
• Relevant tertiary qualification in English and/or Humanities
• Full working rights in Australia
• Ability to provide two recent referees and meet safeguarding requirements
