About the Position

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced English Teacher to teach Years 11–12 English Advanced and English Extension, commencing Term 3, 2026.

This is a full-time position with the opportunity to transition to a permanent role following a successful probation period. The successful applicant will join a high-performing English faculty, delivering engaging senior English lessons while preparing students for internal assessments and the HSC.

Skills & Responsibilities

• Teach English Advanced and English Extension across Years 11–12.

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the NSW Stage 6 curriculum.

• Prepare students for internal assessments and HSC examinations.

• Differentiate learning to support students of varying abilities.

• Monitor student progress and provide meaningful feedback.

• Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high academic standards.

• Contribute positively to the broader life of the school community.

Requirements

• Current NESA Teacher Accreditation or eligibility to obtain accreditation.

• Relevant secondary teaching qualifications.

• Demonstrated experience teaching Stage 6 English, including Advanced and/or Extension.

• Excellent communication, organisation and classroom management skills.

• A willingness to uphold the values and ethos of an independent Christian school.

• Current Working with Children Check.

• Full working rights in Australia.
