About the Position
This full-time position, commencing in Term 3 2025, involves teaching English to students across Years 7 to 12. The successful candidate will create engaging, curriculum-aligned lessons, support student literacy and critical thinking, and contribute to the broader academic culture of the school. This is a 6-month contract with the potential for extension.


Skills and Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned English lessons for students in Years 7–12

  • Uphold high standards of student wellbeing and safeguarding

  • Communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and parents

  • Collaborate with staff to support student learning outcomes and school initiatives

  • Demonstrate professional leadership in the classroom and co-curricular programs


Requirements

  • Registration: Candidates must hold or be eligible to obtain NESA registration

  • Work Rights: Full working rights in Australia are essential for this role

  • Safeguarding: Applicants must provide two current referees and complete HARKE’s onboarding process to meet safeguarding requirements
