About the Position
This permanent full-time position involves teaching Design Technology up to Year 10 and Engineering across secondary year levels. The successful candidate will bring expertise in Engineering and a passion for design-based learning that equips students with practical and future-focused skills. This role offers an immediate start in Term 2 or Term 3, depending on candidate availability.
Skills and Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned lessons in Engineering and Design Technology.
- Uphold safeguarding responsibilities and promote student wellbeing at all times.
- Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues to support learning outcomes.
- Collaborate with faculty staff on interdisciplinary initiatives and curriculum planning.
- Lead practical, hands-on learning experiences that encourage innovation and critical thinking.
Requirements
- Registration: Candidates must hold or be eligible to obtain QCT (Queensland College of Teachers) registration.
- Work Rights: Full working rights in Australia are essential for this role.
- Safeguarding: Applicants must provide two current referees and complete HARKE’s onboarding process to meet safeguarding requirements.
