About the PositionThe College is seeking a Director of Professional Practice (PoL 4) to lead teacher accreditation and professional learning initiatives across both campuses. This is a full-time leadership position with a 14-period time allowance and a teaching load across Years 7–12, with flexibility to teach at either campus as required.
The Director of Professional Practice plays a crucial role in supporting early-career teachers and those on Permission to Teach, ensuring they successfully achieve and maintain VIT registration. The role also oversees professional learning administration, working closely with the Deputy Principal to ensure all staff have access to relevant professional development opportunities and that records and compliance requirements are met.
Skills and Responsibilities-
Support teachers on Permission to Teach and provisionally registered teachers to achieve VIT accreditation, including portfolio development and sign-off.

Monitor and ensure timely completion of all professional learning requirements for teaching staff.

Work collaboratively with the Deputy Principal to oversee the planning, organisation, and delivery of professional learning programs.

Maintain accurate records of staff professional learning and compliance.

Provide guidance and mentoring to staff, fostering a culture of reflective practice and ongoing growth.

Teach across Years 7–12 in a subject area suited to expertise, contributing to the broader learning community.
- Registration: Candidates must hold or be eligible to obtain VIT Registration.
- Work Rights: Full working rights in Australia are essential for this role.
- Safeguarding: Applicants must provide two current referees and complete HARKE’s onboarding process to meet safeguarding requirements.
