About the School
HARKE has partnered with a large, well-resourced Catholic co-educational school approximately 30 minutes north of Melbourne’s northern suburbs. The College educates more than 1,500 students across Years 7–12 and provides boarding accommodation for up to 70 students.

About the Position
The school is seeking an experienced and inspirational Director of Boarding to lead and manage its Boarding Precinct from January 2027.
This is a key leadership appointment with responsibility for shaping the overall boarding experience and ensuring students are supported academically, socially and personally throughout their time at the College.
The successful candidate will bring experience in a similar leadership environment and a demonstrated ability to build meaningful relationships with young people while effectively leading and supporting Boarding House teams.
Skills and Responsibilities

Lead and manage the College’s Boarding Precinct, maintaining a safe, supportive and enriching residential environment.

Place student safeguarding, wellbeing and personal development at the centre of boarding practice.

Build strong relationships with boarding students, families, staff and the wider school community.

Lead, support and provide clear direction to Boarding House teams.

Contribute strategically to the ongoing development of the boarding program and broader Marist community.

Requirements

Demonstrated experience in a comparable boarding, residential, educational or student wellbeing leadership position.

Strong leadership, organisational and relationship-building capability.

Proven ability to lead and support teams working with young people.

Strong commitment to student safeguarding and wellbeing.

Working with Children Check and National Police Check, and the willingness to obtain both.

Full Australian work rights.

Ability to support and contribute positively to the Catholic and Marist values of the College.

Two professional referees and completion of HARKE’s safeguarding and onboarding requirements.
