About the Position

An exciting opportunity is available for a passionate Design Technology Teacher to join the College from Term 1, 2027. This full-time, ongoing role will see you deliver engaging Design Technology programs that develop students' practical skills, creativity and problem-solving abilities. Experience in metalwork, fabrication and welding will be highly regarded, with the opportunity to utilise well-equipped workshop facilities and contribute to a hands-on learning environment.

Skills and Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging Design Technology programs aligned with the Australian Curriculum.
• Teach practical workshop skills, with experience in metalwork, fabrication and welding highly valued.
• Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment with a strong commitment to child safeguarding, student wellbeing and workshop safety.
• Build positive relationships with students, parents and colleagues through effective communication.

Requirements

• Relevant teaching qualifications and eligibility for Queensland teacher registration.
• Experience teaching Design Technology.
• Metalwork, fabrication and welding experience will be highly regarded.
• Current Australian work rights or eligibility to obtain them.
• A commitment to student wellbeing, professional practice and safeguarding responsibilities.
