About the Position
This full-time, permanent position is a key leadership role on the College Executive Team. The Deputy Principal will work closely with the Principal and other leaders across both the Primary and Secondary campuses to guide strategic direction, staff development, curriculum review, and whole-school initiatives. This role requires an experienced, faith-driven leader capable of driving positive change, supporting staff, and acting as Principal when required.
Key Responsibilities

Actively participate in the Executive Team, contributing to whole-school strategy and operations

Oversee teacher allocations, recruitment, and staffing management across the school

Lead initiatives in professional development, teacher mentoring, and goal-setting frameworks

Drive curriculum review and implementation in partnership with academic leaders

Manage key school events such as Awards evenings and Open Days

Observe and support teaching staff in collaboration with Faculty Leaders and the Principal

Support staff and student wellbeing initiatives, working closely with the wellbeing team

Serve as a media and marketing liaison, supporting school promotion efforts

Act as Principal during absences and support leaders across both campuses (K–12)
Role Criteria

Demonstrated Christian maturity and alignment with the school’s faith-based mission
-
Ability to work collaboratively within an executive leadership team
-
Proven experience (minimum 5 years) in a senior leadership role within a school

Deep understanding of current pedagogical practices and educational research

Strong ICT capabilities, with experience integrating technology into teaching
-
Experience mentoring teachers and managing professional growth plans
-
Capacity to oversee QCT mentoring and registration processes
-
Ability to work effectively across both Primary and Secondary settings
Requirements
- Registration: Candidates must hold or be eligible to obtain QCT registration
- Work Rights: Full working rights in Australia are essential for this role
- Safeguarding: Applicants must provide two current referees and complete HARKE’s onboarding process to meet safeguarding requirements
