About the Position

This full-time leadership position, commencing in Term 2, 2025, is responsible for overseeing the school’s internal and external co-curricular programs. The Co-Curricular Coordinator will work closely with students, staff, and the leadership team to promote high-quality participation across sport, cultural activities, and community engagement. The role involves leading program development, supporting staff involvement, coordinating logistics, and fostering student leadership through co-curricular pathways.

Skills and Responsibilities

  • Oversee timetabling and coordination of inter-school competitions, house challenges, and major events.

  • Promote student participation in academic, cultural, sporting, and leadership activities.

  • Supervise coaching staff and ensure compliance with accreditation, training, and risk management.

  • Collaborate with school leadership on strategic co-curricular development and budget management.

  • Maintain accurate student participation data and assist in co-curricular reporting and awards.

  • Organise internal carnivals and coordinate the annual Co-Curricular Awards Evening.

  • Represent the school with external sporting bodies and facilitate communications with providers and other schools.

Requirements

  • QCT registration (if a teaching role) or relevant leadership experience in a school setting.

  • Strong organisational, communication, and leadership skills.

  • Experience managing co-curricular or extracurricular programs.

  • Ability to lead staff and foster positive student engagement.

  • Current Working with Children Check (QLD Blue Card) and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

  • Full working rights in Australia.
