About the Position
This ongoing role involves teaching a small multi-age class of Year 7–10 students, delivered through an Upper Primary model with a strong focus on foundational literacy and numeracy. The position requires a primary-trained teacher confident in early literacy and numeracy instruction, working alongside Yol?u Team Teachers to deliver a bi-literacy program in both English and Djambarrpuy?u. Teaching is highly collaborative and extends beyond traditional classroom settings, with a strong emphasis on outdoor, land-based learning and culturally responsive practice. This is a unique opportunity for a teacher who is adaptable, community-focused, and motivated by a different way of teaching and learning.
Skills and Responsibilities

Deliver literacy and numeracy programs within a multi-age classroom, integrating curriculum with outdoor and applied learning experiences

Ensure student safety and wellbeing across diverse learning environments, including on Country and community-based settings

Communicate effectively with Yol?u co-teachers, families, and community members to support student learning and engagement

Collaborate closely within a teaching team to co-plan and deliver bi-cultural and bi-literacy programs

Demonstrate leadership in adapting teaching practice to a remote context, embedding learning in real-life, land-based experiences

Registration: Candidates must hold or be eligible to obtain Northern Territory Teacher Registration.

Work Rights: Full working rights in Australia are essential for this role.
