About the Position
The school is seeking a Chinese Teacher to cover classes in Term 4, 2025, teaching Years 7–8. This is a full-time position, though a 0.8FTE load can be offered. While the initial appointment is for Term 4 only, the role may extend into a permanent, ongoing position in 2026, with teaching up to Year 10–12 Chinese.

Skills and Responsibilities

  • Teach engaging and curriculum-aligned Chinese lessons for Years 7–8 (with potential senior classes from 2026)

  • Build student confidence in language acquisition through interactive and practical approaches

  • Contribute to a positive, inclusive classroom environment

  • Collaborate with colleagues to support language learning pathways

  • Engage with the wider school community through co-curricular and cultural activities

Requirements
  • Registration: Must hold or be eligible for VIT registration

  • Work Rights: Full working rights in Australia

  • Safeguarding: Provide two current referees and complete HARKE’s onboarding process
