About the Role

This full-time, ongoing Chemistry Teacher position will commence in Term 1, 2027. The successful teacher will deliver engaging and curriculum-aligned Chemistry programs, supporting students to develop strong scientific knowledge, practical skills and critical thinking. This is an opportunity to join a collaborative Science faculty and contribute to the continued development of teaching and learning across the school.

Skills and Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned Chemistry lessons that support student achievement and scientific understanding.

  • Maintain high standards of student safeguarding, wellbeing and inclusive classroom practice.

  • Communicate effectively with students, families and colleagues regarding learning, assessment and student progress.

  • Collaborate with the Science faculty to develop curriculum, share effective practice and support whole-school priorities.

  • Contribute positively to the school's Catholic ethos, professional culture and broader school community.

Requirements

  • Current VIT registration or eligibility for registration

  • Relevant teaching qualifications with the ability to teach Chemistry

  • Full Australian working rights

  • Commitment to supporting the Catholic ethos and values of the school

  • Two professional referees and completion of HARKE's safeguarding onboarding
