About the Position
This full-time position, commencing in Term 3, 2025, involves teaching Chemistry to Years 11 and 12, as well as Junior Science. The role is offered on an initial 6-month contract with the view to ongoing employment from 2026. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering curriculum-aligned lessons, supporting student engagement in science, and contributing to the wider academic life of the school.


Skills and Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and curriculum-aligned Chemistry lessons to Years 11 and 12, and Junior Science classes.

  • Ensure the safety and welfare of students, upholding all safeguarding practices.

  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to support student learning.

  • Work collaboratively with faculty members to enhance teaching practice and student outcomes.

  • Demonstrate initiative and leadership within the classroom and broader school community.


Requirements

  • Registration: Candidates must hold or be eligible to obtain NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) accreditation.

  • Work Rights: Full working rights in Australia are essential for this role.

  • Safeguarding: Applicants must provide two current referees and complete HARKE’s onboarding process to meet safeguarding requirements.
