About the Position
This full-time position, commencing in Term 3, 2025, involves teaching Chemistry to Years 11 and 12, as well as Junior Science. The role is offered on an initial 6-month contract with the view to ongoing employment from 2026. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering curriculum-aligned lessons, supporting student engagement in science, and contributing to the wider academic life of the school.
Skills and Responsibilities

Deliver engaging and curriculum-aligned Chemistry lessons to Years 11 and 12, and Junior Science classes.

Ensure the safety and welfare of students, upholding all safeguarding practices.

Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to support student learning.

Work collaboratively with faculty members to enhance teaching practice and student outcomes.

Demonstrate initiative and leadership within the classroom and broader school community.
Requirements
- Registration: Candidates must hold or be eligible to obtain NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) accreditation.
- Work Rights: Full working rights in Australia are essential for this role.
- Safeguarding: Applicants must provide two current referees and complete HARKE’s onboarding process to meet safeguarding requirements.
