About the Position
This full-time Careers Teacher position will run for Term 2, 2026, from 20 April to 5 June. The role focuses on supporting students with pathway planning and coordinating key career development programs across the school. The successful candidate will advise students on tertiary education options, support career planning and oversee work experience and structured workplace learning programs for VET and VCE VM students. The ability to teach Unit 1 VCE Vocational Major Work-Related Skills is preferred but not essential.
Skills and Responsibilities
• Deliver curriculum including VCE Vocational Major Work-Related Skills where required
• Ensure safeguarding practices and maintain safe processes for workplace learning placements
• Communicate clearly with students, families, staff and external partners regarding career pathways
• Collaborate with the Learning and Teaching team, Pathways Coordinator, House Coordinators and School Counselling team to support student outcomes
• Demonstrate leadership in coordinating work experience, structured workplace learning and subject selection preparation
Requirements
Registration: Candidates must hold or be eligible to obtain VIT Teacher Registration.
Work Rights: Full working rights in Australia are essential for this role.
Safeguarding: Applicants must provide two current referees and complete HARKE’s onboarding process to meet safeguarding requirements.
