About the Position
The school is seeking a Careers Practitioner to commence in Term 1, 2026. This is a permanent, full-time leadership position with a three-year tenure. The role focuses on the delivery of career education, pathway planning, and vocational guidance for students.
While primarily a non-teaching position, the ability to teach is preferred. The Careers Practitioner will work closely with the Pathways Coordinator to design and implement effective career programs across multiple year levels.
Skills and Responsibilities

Lead the design and delivery of career and pathways programs for students

Provide individual career counselling and guidance

Collaborate with the Pathways Coordinator on planning, initiatives, and events

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tertiary, VET, and employment pathways

Engage with students, families, and staff to support transition planning

Contribute to the wider school community in alignment with its values and mission
Requirements

Qualifications: Career Development qualification or relevant tertiary qualification (or working towards one)

Experience: Prior experience in Careers/Pathways or related leadership is preferred

Faith: Applicants do not need to be Catholic but must be supportive of the school’s values and ethos

Registration: Current VIT registration (or eligibility) preferred

Safeguarding: Two current referees and completion of HARKE’s safeguarding process
