About the Position
This part-time role involves teaching Business and Economics to students in Years 9–11. The load is 0.6–0.7 FTE, spread across four days a week (with Tuesdays likely to be non-teaching). The role is a fixed-term contract until the end of the year, with the potential for extension. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging, curriculum-aligned lessons that equip students with a strong understanding of business concepts, economic thinking, and real-world application.

Skills and Responsibilities

  • Deliver effective and engaging curriculum-aligned Business and Economics lessons to Years 9–11

  • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of students by following the school’s safeguarding policies

  • Foster strong communication with students, families, and colleagues to support learning outcomes

  • Work collaboratively with team members to contribute to a positive, supportive learning environment

  • Model professionalism and leadership in the classroom and across the school community

Requirements
  • Registration: Candidates must hold or be eligible to obtain NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) registration

  • Work Rights: Full working rights in Australia are essential for this role

  • Safeguarding: Applicants must provide two current referees and complete HARKE’s onboarding process to meet safeguarding requirements
