About the Position
This full-time position, commencing in Term 2, 2025, involves teaching Biology to senior students and Junior Science across various year levels. The role is initially offered as a 6-month contract with the possibility of ongoing employment in 2026. The successful candidate will engage students through dynamic and evidence-based teaching strategies, while contributing to the broader academic life of the school.


Skills and Responsibilities

  • Deliver curriculum-aligned Biology and Junior Science lessons that engage and extend student learning.

  • Ensure student safety and wellbeing, adhering to all safeguarding policies.

  • Communicate clearly and professionally with students, parents, and colleagues.

  • Collaborate with science faculty and school staff to support a positive learning culture.

  • Demonstrate leadership and initiative within the classroom and school community.


Requirements

  • Registration: Candidates must hold or be eligible to obtain NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) accreditation.

  • Work Rights: Full working rights in Australia are essential for this role.

  • Safeguarding: Applicants must provide two current referees and complete HARKE’s onboarding process to meet safeguarding requirements.
