About the Position
This fixed-term position, commencing in Term 1, 2026 , involves teaching Visual Arts to students in Years 7–12 , with the inclusion of a second Key Learning Area based on the candidate’s strengths and school needs. The school is open to discussing your preferred subject area, with flexibility to shape the role accordingly. This is a full-time position, though part-time (0.8 FTE or above) will be considered for the right candidate. There is also potential for a more permanent or extended load beyond 2026.


Skills and Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned Visual Arts lessons across Years 7–12

  • Teach a second subject area (to be negotiated) with passion and adaptability

  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment

  • Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues

  • Collaborate with faculty on curriculum planning and school-wide initiatives

  • Demonstrate initiative and leadership in the Visual Arts domain


Requirements

  • Registration: Candidates must hold or be eligible to obtain Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration

  • Work Rights: Full working rights in Australia are essential for this role

  • Safeguarding: Applicants must provide two current referees and complete HARKE’s onboarding process to meet safeguarding requirements
